Summer beach trip

We were able to go to the beach again this summer and really had a great time....and a few surprises as well.

Abby invited her good friend, Arya, to go to the beach with us.  It's good for Abby to have a friend come along.

The drive typically takes 6 hours with a stop for lunch and we hit Subway this time.

 We made it!

Canopy Road = vacation has begun

I had told the kids I was running to the store to pick up groceries and ended up coming back with two very special visitors!

It was such a fun surprise for the kids and I was looking forward to spending some quality time with my dad and Susan.

We had a fun dinner at Kabuki but the sushi is just not the without Will.

The girls ordered A LOT of sushi!

Tutu (Susan/grandma) went for an early walk and came across this dead sea turtle.  Now, I know it's ever so slightly morbid to post a photo of it but it was still neat to see.

Friday was the parent's 22 anniversary so we dined on very unhealthy but delicious food at at little place called Nicole's on the River.  Mmmm...fried chicken!

The Plantation now has a little mini golf course so we went to play and it was shady and fun!

Arya even got a hole in one!

A southern treat:  Hot boiled peanuts!

The resident turtle, Fernando, enjoyed some delicious fruit thanks to me!

Grandpa, Tutu and Abby enjoyed biking down the path to the fishing bridge.

Pasta Night at the Club

Todd can't seem to ever say no to anything the girls requested so off they went on a segway adventure.

Lunching at the Club-Arya's eyes are bigger than her stomach!

 Golf cart adventure

Todd & Sam went golfing and Todd got an eagle!

The shark's teeth we found!  16

Yet another adventure:  canoeing.  Todd said it was the worst adventure since it was windy & really hard to do.

We had a super fun time and even got to stay an extra day!  We are grateful to Gpa David & Gma Judy for letting us use their home.

Always sad to leave...till next time!
