Piano

We signed Abby up for the Sonata & Sonatina Festival and it was held today at the
Jones United Methodist Church in Lake City, Georgia.

Abby had to have one piece memorized and she played

Sonatina in A minor by Benda

She did a great job although she was not super happy with her performance.  She felt the keys were a bit slippery.  We are grateful that she is willing to take chances and do these kinds of things as they will help her get better.

We had a great day and are so proud of Abby.  Up next is Local Auditions which is a competitive level recital where you go up against other pianists your own age and if you get an "outstanding or superior" mark, you can move onto regional and state.

Better start practicing!

Spring Recital-2013

Abby's spring recital was this afternoon and of course, she rocked it!  This was Abby's 5th year of piano and she truly has a talent.  She was one of the best!  (In my humble opinion).

Way to go Abby!

Holiday recital

Abby had her holiday piano recital and she did an amazing job.  This is her 5th year in piano and she is really a natural talent.  I'm so proud of her hard work and dedication to practicing and playing.  I'm so grateful that she really does enjoy playing.

Abby's Piano Recital

Today was Abby's piano recital.  This will be her last one while attending the Primary School and the last one with her current teacher, Mrs. Blosser.  She will be moving onto the Lower School and have a new teacher next school year.  She's been busy practicing and preparing for today.

She did a great job!
