ScAr FaCe

So...Todd has had this little "skin issue" on the side of his face for quite a long time. He did see a dermatologist and they prescribed some sort of cream. Nothing really work & Todd just went about life. About 2 weeks ago he decided it was time to re-visit the issue so he made another appointment w/the MD. The MD decided he needed to do a biopsy right then and there but since Todd had to go meet w/some customers, he decided to wait a week, making the doctor quite unhappy. He went back and had the biopsy done then 2 weeks later, yesterday, he went in for the results....

Basal Cell Carcinoma

How exiting!!

The MD decided that since it was the end of the year and in order to save us like $600, he would remove it today. I so appreciated the savings!! Here is the result of the MOHs procedure that took like 4 hours. They cut some tissue, examine it and keep cutting until it's cancer cell free. This is what was done:

He paid for a MOHs but got a free eye lift...just one eye, however.
Todd is part Jewish and part Asian...just the right-sided part.

As we say around here, "Chicks dig scars!"

That is quite a scar to dig!
(Perhaps a plastic surgeon should have been called in.)

Todd will have the sutures removed in about 2 weeks so in the meantime, he'll be walking around looking like Frankenstein. Don't be alarmed, he's a harmless part Asian Jew.

Wow! I'm so glad they got it all. That is quite a scar. Chicks do dig them. Peter has gotten so much attention for his scar. Even thought this was a serious blog, you made me laugh.

So relieved that the Doctor got it all...been through something like this with Jane, as you know. Lesson learned...when you find something, have it checked out...don't wait; it could only get worse. Better to be safe than sorry. That scar will make for a good warning for the rest of us. XOX
